SKETCHING ANALYSIS

We were required to conduct research and sketching analyses regarding several important historical buildings. Throughout the analysis, we had to employ various architectural vocabularies to refer to specific styles, features and periods. As such, the analysis was expected to display a clear chronology of architectural representations.

PROGRESS

I went over the historical buildings provided to determine my final choices after going over the brief in a training session. Then I began looking for important information about the structures, such as the architects involved, their particular qualities, and their impact on the architectural scene of the time. To make the writing process easier, I gathered the information and paraphrased it correctly.

After conducting extensive investigation, I began to carefully compile the facts on paper. I made it a point to maintain a consistent format throughout all of the building evaluations, including the rapid facts and geographic location parts. To improve visual balance within the publication, the data was organized in a grid format.

Finally, after several lessons of serious debate with my professor, my designs were approved, and I began outlining them with felt tip pens, making sure that the line weights were employed effectively. After that, I used artline pens to color the relevant areas of the sketches.
